The Savoy, Yangon
A charming, colonial-style hotel, the Savoy has a wonderful serene atmosphere.
The hotel is small, but it has a fantastic central swimming pool and a good range of facilities including massage and beauty treatments and the atmospheric “Captain’s Bar”. Rooms are split into two categories: deluxe and executive suites, both of which are stylish in design and quite spacious, with the suites being slightly larger. The quality of finish is not up to the same standard as other hotels in Burma but the Savoy does still have style, good levels of comfort and a warm welcome. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Yangon, so whilst still in a bustling local neighbourhood, you are slightly removed from the busy central area.
PJ Tip – We always request pool view rooms to escape from the busy road outside.
