We have created the ultimate private tour of Myanmar (Burma), taking in the country's scenic highlights in style followed by six days on your own private super yacht in the little visited yet stunningly beautiful Mergui Archipelago.

THE JOURNEY:

This 17-day experience that spans this beautiful country is packed with exclusive private experiences, wonderful hotels, amazing food, local insight and the 'must-see' sights.

Starting in Yangon, visit Schwedagon Pagoda and enjoy a private tour of the city with a local expert tuned in to your interests. Take dinner at Le Planteur, one of Asia's finest restaurants.

Fly up to Shan state and Inle Lake to stay at Inle Princess, the lake's finest stilt built hotel. Enjoy private boat trips through the floating gardens, try out leg rowing with a local fisherman, visit the lotus silk weavers or relax with a private yoga lesson.

After a couple of days fly on to ancient Bagan and the plain of 1,000 temples, take a private candle lit dinner amongst the temples. Early next morning take an amazing hot air balloon flights of the temple plain. In the afternoon, head to the market to buy the ingredients for your Burmese cookery class. On your last day, enjoy access to some of the normally off-limits temple for a private photography lessen before flying back to Yangon.

The next part of your adventure begins by flying south to Kawthaung to meet your private yacht, home for the next six days. Board the Dunia Baru, one of the few superyachts operating in these waters, for a divine adventure through crystal waters, bright white beaches and lush jungle islands. Meet the Moken sea gypsies who live aboard their boats, dive and snorkel in rich waters, seek dugong in the mangroves with a conservationist, fish, relax on beaches all to yourself and enjoy fine dining, sundowners and complete relaxation as you are served by your attentive crew. Finally return to Yangon for a night in renowned The Governor's Residence before heading home.

Myanmar has some wonderful small exclusive hotels and restaurants to die for. Governor's Residence in Yangon is high on every visitors list for colonial charm and fine dining, Inle Princess is the lake's finest hotel and Aurem Palace in Bagan is set amongst the temples with stunning private villas and relaxing gardens.

In the Mergui Archipelago, we can charter some fine yachts to suit your group and budget; sit back and relax or join the crew to sail the yacht. Here are a few of them.

WHEN TO GO:

The ideal time to visit Myanmar is between October and March to enjoy the warm but not stiffling temperatures and to avoid the monsoon, wet season.
